Each Waypointe participant receives a thorough aptitude assessment to help guide the participant to the most engaging and meaningful educational and vocational pursuits for them. In partnership with our area community college and local organizations, Waypointe residents can attend academic classes in a traditional but supportive educational setting, find success in a part-time job, and develop skills that allow them to continue with these pursuits after leaving Waypointe.
At Waypointe, our goal is to stay connected or re-connect with the participant’s educational needs. We provide a psycho-educational assessment for each of our residents, allowing them to determine learning challenges or begin to build the foundation necessary to re-engage with schooling or set new academic goals.
Participants can also take advantage of online courses or attend our local community college, Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC.) RVCC provides an excellent venue for Waypointe participants to pursue higher learning.
Waypointe has relationships with Rutgers University and The College of NJ and, when appropriate, can assist participants in applying for admission and getting connected to each university’s excellent therapeutic and recovery supports.
